How it all began

It all started with an old red, ugly candle — restored with a knife and a torch.

When my daughter was six months old, she was recovering from major surgery. For a week at a time I stayed up through the night, watching over her while she slept to make sure she was okay.

One of those nights, rocking in my rocking chair, I noticed an old candle that had seen better days. I picked it up and started restoring it. I was at peace — and I didn't even realize two hours had flown by.

When my husband came home, I told him about it and said, "I want to make candles. I want to start this business." He told me he would support me in all I do, no matter the cost. We didn't have a lot back then, but he took me out and got me everything I needed to start.

I wanted to share peace the way I found it. Today I make all types of candles using soy wax, and every one is made to be something memorable for you and the people you love.
